Youswim’s vision for a swimsuit that fits every body needed a website equally as flexible. Sanctuary Computer created a fluid, bespoke ecommerce platform to bring their brand to life.

Project Overview

  1. 1.

Using Sanity, we built a unique CMS to support a fully custom shopping experience.

  2. 2.

We created a one-of-a-kind product filtering system that expresses the versatility of their limited product line.

  3. 3.

We built a suite of features to support Youswim’s growth and users’ ease-of-use.

An experience as versatile as the swimwear

Youswim had launched and grown their company from 0 → 1 using Shopify’s generic templates. This year, it was time to take the brand into its next phase of evolution with a custom platform expressing its unique approach to sizing, materials, and body positivity.

Inherent to the Youswim brand is the notion of change. As the body changes, how can what we put on change with it? Flexibility and versatility are important tenets of Youswim’s vision, and creating a CMS that felt as fluid and able to evolve as the brand itself was our first challenge.

Expressing possibility within a limited product line

Youswim’s mission is to create a product line so radically versatile that it could adapt to bodies of all sizes at all phases of life. A traditional ecommerce collection page wouldn’t do justice to the amount of possibility within the brand’s offering.

We designed a custom filtering system that gives the user the opportunity to see all styles, cuts, and colors simultaneously while browsing.

A suite of features to support the brand’s future

Built within the brand’s shopping infrastructure are a few features designed to support long-term growth and premium user experience.

We built a journal to collect stories and features used for content marketing, complete with modules supporting many different formats and layouts of text, image, and video.

We also added user accounts designed to make the shopping experience more personal. Users can view past orders and save their shipping and billing information.

Finally, we internationalized pricing on the site, enabling shoppers to select their home currency. Building this feature into the site allows the company to sell to international markets from the same site, rather than maintaining different sites for each country.

A famously flexible fabric meets an endlessly adaptive ecommerce platform.
