Gnosis Chain

Visual identity system for Gnosis Chain, an Ethereum-compatible blockchain by Gnosis.

Brief

Four-week brand identity and art direction sprint for Gnosis Chain, an Ethereum-compatible blockchain and sub-brand from Gnosis.

Solution

The brand system we created communicates constant evolution and a futuristic viewpoint to express Gnosis Chain’s offering as a new, more sustainable way to access Ethereum technology.

Our art direction for the project drew reference from the Solarpunk movement. We approached it in two ways. The first was the creation of a library of licensed imagery. The second was a tool that allowed their team to combine these images using AI to create an infinite array of uncanny futuristic visions.

Building a Visual Language

We developed a graphic toolkit to represent the chain. This is then used to link imagery together in a multitude of ways. Our color palette was inspired by 80s sci-fi literature. We also created a custom icon toolkit that could be used to visualize specific product features.
